Salt Fork Region
The Salt Fork region is located in the eastern central area
of Ohio. It consists of Belmont, Coshocton, Guernsy, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson,
Muskingum and Tuscarawas counties.
The Salt Fork region is lucky to be the home of the Underground
Railroad Museum, a non-profit community organization.
The museum features an extensive collection
of publications, books, memorabilia and other articles. The exhibits
portray what is known about slavery and the Underground Railroad
in Ohio and features an understanding of the culture in the 1800's.
You can arrange to visit the museum or tour the area by contacting
curator, and Salt Fork Regional Coordinator,
John Mattox.
